Arcadi Volodos, one of Santa Cecilia’s most beloved pianists, brings together two Romantic giants: Chopin and Schubert. After a selection of shorter works showcasing the refinement of his touch, Volodos performs Chopin’s Sonata No. 2, with its famous Funeral March. In the second half, one of Schubert’s masterpieces: the Sonata D 894 “Fantasia.”
