Arcadi Volodos, one of Santa Cecilia’s most beloved pianists, brings together two Romantic giants: Chopin and Schubert. After a selection of shorter works showcasing the refinement of his touch, Volodos performs Chopin’s Sonata No. 2, with its famous Funeral March, followed by Schubert’s monumental Sonata D960—a late masterpiece and the pinnacle of Schubert’s pianistic legacy.
