The rest of the programme is likewise entirely dedicated to the Beethoven bicentenary, featuring the Coriolan Overture and the Seventh Symphony, with its haunting Allegretto and the irresistible rhythmic drive that courses through the entire work.

The Accademia di Santa Cecilia celebrates the two-hundredth anniversary of Beethoven’s death (1827-2027)
