Presentation

The course is intended for singers and instrumentalists who wish to expand their performance repertoire with works that use electroacoustic and/or computer technologies.

The course provides both the fundamental concepts, historical and current approaches, and techniques necessary for the musical interpretation of electroacoustic works, as well as knowledge of the electroacoustic repertoire related to the student’s specific instrument.

The course lasts one academic year and is organised into monthly sessions; each student is entitled to a total of 12 hours of individual lessons, 3 of which are laboratory-based, in addition to participation, in person or remotely, in the lessons of the other students on the course.

Lessons will take place in the Paolo Ketoff Studio, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica “Ennio Morricone” in Rome, or at another venue of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia.

At the end of the course, students will be required to set up and perform a work for voice or instrument and electronics, and the National Academy of Santa Cecilia will issue a Certificate of Merit, subject to regular attendance at lessons and the scheduled educational and artistic activities.
