Mahler Symphony No. 3
“The symphony must be like the world. It must contain everything.” Never did Mahler take this motto more literally than in his Third Symphony — a cosmic journey in six movements: from the primordial awakening of nature, through the whisper of flowers and the cries of animals, to the deep voice of humanity questioning the night, and finally the innocent song of angels.
A total experience, led by Daniel Harding, who immerses us in a sonic universe where music becomes the story of creation. Vocal soloist Wiebke Lehmkuhl joins forces with the Women’s Chorus of the Accademia.
