Hindemith meets Weber, and Rachmaninoff meets Paganini: two masterpieces are born. The kaleidoscopic Metamorphoses on Themes of Weber and the passionate Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. Exceptional soloist: Alexandre Kantorow. To close, Yamada presents another symphonic masterpiece: Stravinsky’s Petrushka, a colorful ballet score depicting the heartbreaking tale of a puppet in love.
