Handel Concerti Grossi, Op. 3

Published in London in 1734, at the height of Handel’s operatic career in the British capital, the Concerti Grossi Op. 3 weave together the composer’s characteristic eclecticism with the Italian tradition of Arcangelo Corelli. The result is a set of six highly varied concertos, often performed individually, each featuring between two and five contrasting movements. The performance is entrusted to Les Musiciens du Louvre under Marc Minkowski, leading interpreters of the Baroque repertoire.
