Daniel Harding succeeds Sir Antonio Pappano, Music Director from 2005 to 2023, who become Director Emeritus. One of the oldest musical institutions in the world, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia boasts a long line of prestigious Principal Conductors and Music Directors, including Igor Markevich, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Daniele Gatti and Myung Whun Chung.

Following the successes of previous editions, this year the “Luciano Berio” International Composition Competition, now in its third edition and aimed at young composers under 35, has come to a close.
