Verdi Messa da Requiem
Verdi’s Requiem is one of the most powerful scores ever written — a dizzying journey through humanity’s deepest emotions in the face of death. Verdi employs the full arsenal of his theatrical language to create a sonic fresco that both shakes and moves, where the line between prayer and drama dissolves.
Myung-Whun Chung, a distinguished interpreter of this masterpiece, leads the Santa Cecilia ensembles, accompanied by an outstanding vocal cast.
