Beethoven Symphony No. 5
Another debut at Santa Cecilia — that of young German conductor Joana Mallwitz, who has built a successful career on the podium of the world’s most prestigious orchestras thanks to her preparation and exceptional communicative abilities.
Following Kodály’s Dances of Galánta — a tribute to Hungarian folklore and the indomitable spirit of its people — she will conduct Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, a passionate and lyrical work brought to life by Augustin Hadelich.
The program concludes with the unmissable Beethoven Symphony No. 5.
