Daniele Gatti, former Music Director of the Orchestra of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, shares with the Roman ensemble a bond and artistic affinity that are renewed with every collaboration. The close understanding between conductor and orchestra is reflected in the choice of programs that highlight a specific musical period each time.
In this concert dedicated to Romanticism, we will hear one of Brahms’s most beautiful works — the Symphony No. 3 — paired with the serene expressiveness of Schumann’s Piano Concerto.
The soloist is the young Austrian pianist Lukas Sternath, winner of the 63rd International Ferruccio Busoni Piano Competition — a rising talent not to be missed.
