Tchaikovsky Gala
Piano Concerto No. 1
Symphony No. 5
Basilica of Maxentius – Clivo di Venere Felice, Rome
St. Petersburg’s summer nights are known as “white nights” because the sun lingers in an endless twilight. This enchanting phenomenon inspires the opening concert of our summer festival: a tribute to the genius of Tchaikovsky, featuring two of his most beloved masterpieces. In the first half, the immense talent of young pianist Alexander Malofeev will light up the stage with the famous Piano Concerto No. 1. Following the intermission, the Fifth Symphony will take the audience on an intense musical journey, rich in emotion and unforgettable melodies.
