piano Michele Campanella
Quartetto Indaco
Brahms Quartet No. 3 op. 67
Martucci Piano Quintet
The Quartetto Indaco, one of the most promising and dynamic groups in the Italian and European scene, joins pianist Michele Campanella to perform a rarity: the Piano Quintet by Giuseppe Martucci, one of the most interesting and prolific composers of 19th-century instrumental music, often dubbed the “Italian Brahms” for his closeness to the German Romantic tradition. Appropriately, the first part of the program features Brahms’ String Quartet No. 3.
