Brahms Symphony No. 1
A grand conclusion to the symphonic season with Kirill Petrenko and four soloists from the Santa Cecilia Orchestra. The concert opens with Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for Winds. In the second half, Petrenko—principal conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic—takes on a towering 19th-century symphonic masterpiece: Brahms’ Symphony No. 1. Petrenko renews his collaboration with the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, where he has been warmly welcomed by audiences at every appearance. A must-see event.
