Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2
Dvořák Symphony No. 7
Music Director Daniel Harding, at the helm of his orchestra, conducts a true world star of the piano. Not to be missed is the interpretation by Daniil Trifonov, the multi-award-winning Russian pianist, of Brahms’s monumental and brilliant Piano Concerto No. 2, in which the composer explores the piano’s vast expressive possibilities in a work of symphonic proportions.
In the second half, the program continues with Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7 — a masterpiece finely crafted by a composer inspired by the colors and rhythms of Czech folk music, and, above all, a great admirer and friend of Brahms.
