violin Sergey Khachatryan
Brahms Violin Concerto
Beethoven Symphony No. 7
Two beloved and timeless works from the great repertoire, led by Myung-Whun Chung. The Korean conductor, now in his full interpretative maturity, increasingly focuses on revisiting the great pillars of symphonic music. In Brahms’ Violin Concerto, we hear the young Armenian violinist Sergey Khachatryan. The program concludes with Beethoven’s thrilling Symphony No. 7, which Wagner called “the apotheosis of the dance.”
