Thomas Guggeis makes his debut at Santa Cecilia, a student of Daniel Barenboim and one of the most brilliant conductors of his generation. Born in 1993, Guggeis, despite his young age, has already demonstrated a mastery worthy of a much more experienced conductor. For his debut with the Orchestra of Santa Cecilia, he has chosen to take on Brahms’ final symphonic creation, the Double Concerto, alongside works by Richard Strauss and Franz Liszt. Sharing the stage with him are violinist Sayaka Shoji and cellist Ettore Pagano.
